Beeston were back on duty on Sunday in Watford, where they progressed into the last 16 of the England Hockey Cup.

The Bees raced into the lead with a brace of Chris Seddon goals, a James McBlane penalty corner and a reverse strike by David Griffiths.

West Herts pulled one back through their leading striker, Maximilian Webster, but Beeston then sealed a Cup Round Three victory with goals from  Sam Dixon and Andrew Monte.

Following a successful start in the Euro League, Beeston now play catch up in the National Premiership. On Saturday, they meet Hampstead and Westminster at Highfields (12.00) before taking the long trip to the South West where they play Exeter University on Sunday (12.30pm)
